Two Transgenders Shot Dead, Three Killed in Gas Explosion,

Islamabad: At least eight people lost their lives and several others were injured in separate incidents of violence and accidents reported from different parts of the country on Monday.

In Lakki Marwat, unidentified assailants shot dead two transgender persons near the vegetable market in the Sarai Naurang area. Police identified the victims as Zakir and Dollar. Their bodies were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Sarai Naurang, by Rescue 1122 personnel.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and police have launched an investigation.

In Dera Ismail Khan, a violent clash between two rival groups outside the Judicial Complex turned into an exchange of gunfire, leaving four people injured. The confrontation erupted during the hearing of a criminal case before the Additional Sessions Judge-IV between the groups of JUI-F Tehsil Ameer Kafeel Ahmad Nizami and PTI-backed Javed Imran alias Suhail Rajput.

Kafeel Ahmad Nizami escaped unharmed, but his brother and cousins — Naveed Ahmad Nizami, Adnan Nizami, and Ahsan Nizami — sustained bullet injuries. A man named Aslam, from the rival group, was also injured.

Police reached the spot, brought the situation under control, and shifted the injured to the hospital. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway.

In Lahore, three people were killed and seven others injured after a gas cylinder explosion caused a house to collapse in Nadir Market, near Harbanspura. Rescue 1122 officials said that the explosion brought down the first floor of the building, burying several residents under the rubble.

Rescue teams retrieved seven injured victims alive, while three others were found dead. The blast also damaged a nearby building as debris fell onto it. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution and follow safety measures to prevent such tragic incidents.
