Two Police Officers Suspended Over Viral Lockup Video

Faisalabad: Superintendent of Police (SP) Iqbal Division has suspended two police officials following the viral release of a video showing an accused person locked up in Batala Colony police station.

After the City Police Officer (CPO) Kamran Adil received complaints, he directed the SP to investigate the matter. Head Constable Jamshaid Ahmad and Constable Ghulam Mustafa were subsequently found responsible and suspended.

Sohail, who filmed the video and shared it on social media with an accomplice’s assistance, was arrested.

Additionally, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Batala Colony and the Muharrar were issued show-cause notices for negligence, while authorities are searching for others involved.
