Two Pakistani Startups Join Google’s Inaugural AI Academy
News Desk
Islamabad: Two pioneering Pakistani startups have been selected among 23 others from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to participate in Google’s first-ever AI Academy.
The academy, designed to support startups in refining AI solutions and fostering business growth, began with a three-day boot camp in Singapore.
The startups—AdalFi and Adlytic AI—are leading innovations in Pakistan’s AI landscape. AdalFi is working to improve financial inclusivity by using an AI-powered credit scoring system to increase access to financial services for individuals and small businesses.
Meanwhile, Adlytic AI is transforming retail analytics by converting CCTV cameras into intelligent tools that help retailers leverage visual and geospatial data to grow their businesses.
Participants in the AI Academy will benefit from over 170 hours of mentorship from AI and Cloud experts, receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, and have the opportunity to network with AI innovators across the region.
Michael Kim, Head of Google for Startups, APAC, remarked, “AI has the potential to be an incredible force multiplier, and it’s inspiring to see these startups addressing challenges ranging from financial services access to retail analytics. Through this program, we aim to spark innovation that will resonate across the Asia-Pacific region.”
The program will culminate in December with a Graduation Day, where startups will present their AI solutions to investors and industry leaders.
