Two Killed in Kharian, Five Killed in Sehwan Highway Crash

Kharian/Sehwan: In two separate tragic incidents on Friday, two young men were shot dead while asleep in Kharian, while five people lost their lives in a fatal road accident near Sehwan.
In Kharian’s Dhoria Deh area, unidentified gunmen targeted 31-year-old Naeem and 33-year-old Mujeeb while they were asleep at an outhouse. Upon receiving the report, a team from Saddar police station arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and registered a murder case.
The authorities took the bodies into custody for further legal proceedings and launched an investigation. Raiding teams have been formed to track down and apprehend the culprits, with police sources assuring that those responsible will be brought to justice.
Meanwhile, on the Indus Highway near Sehwan, five people died and six others sustained critical injuries when a speeding Fortuner collided with a passenger car while overtaking from the wrong side. The accident occurred near the Sun area of Sehwan. The car was en route to Hyderabad from Sehwan when the crash took place.
Two of the deceased were identified as Abdul Ghani and Jan Ali Shah, while the injured included Ishaq Niazi, Majid Ali, and Bilal Niazi, all residents of Lahore. The identification of the remaining deceased and injured was still in progress.
Following the accident, a police team rushed to the site and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution on highways to prevent such tragedies.
