Two dead, Several Injured in Separate Tragic Accidents

Islamabad: Two individuals lost their lives, and several others sustained critical injuries in two separate tragic accidents within the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi over the past 24 hours.

The first incident occurred on Friday morning near Bhara Kahu, where a Metro bus collided with a passenger coaster, resulting in severe injuries to numerous passengers. According to Rescue Sources 1122, the coaster, which was transporting employees, collided with the Metro bus, leading to significant injuries among the occupants.

Simultaneously, a second incident unfolded when a Rawalpindi-bound bus struck a motorcycle, causing two individuals to lose their lives on the spot.

Another person suffered critical injuries in this accident, which transpired on Friday morning. Rescue sources reported that the bus, en route to Rawalpindi, hit the motorcycle while navigating a sharp turn near the IGP road.

The deceased and injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Upon reaching the accident site, the police initiated a search for the bus driver, who had hastily fled the scene following the collision. Authorities confirmed the seizure of the bus and commenced an investigation into the incident.

The police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the absconding bus driver and gather further details regarding both accidents.
