In Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Peshkekian confirmed the martyrdom of Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib in an Israeli airstrike. Posting on the social media platform X, Peshkekian condemned the attack as a “cowardly act” by Israel and said the nation is mourning the loss.
This follows a series of targeted strikes by Israel in Tehran. Yesterday, Israel reportedly killed Iran’s National Security Advisor Ali Larijani along with his son Morteza, while he was visiting his daughter in eastern Tehran.
Earlier, the Revolutionary Guards confirmed the death of Basij chief Gholam Reza Soleimani in another Israeli airstrike targeting Basij installations.
