Truck Overturns in Dera, 11 of same family killed

Islamabad: At least 11 members of a single family were killed and three others injured when a mini-truck overturned following a brake failure in Drazanda, a remote town of Dera Ismail Khan district, on Friday.

According to police, the family was traveling from Khanozai in Balochistan to Dera Ismail Khan when the tragic accident occurred. The truck reportedly suffered a mechanical failure on a hilly stretch of road near Drazanda, causing it to overturn.

Initial reports confirmed that women and children were among the deceased. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot soon after the incident was reported and launched relief operations.
