Transgender person killed in Swabi

Swabi:  A transgender person was shot dead by unknown assailants near Swabi on Tuesday, police sources said. The incident took place in the limits of Chota Lahor police station

The police sources said the armed attackers opened fire on Zeeshan alias Wafa and his friends while they were traveling to Peshawar from swabi in a car. The firing incident took place about one kilometer from the Swabi interchange.

As a result of the firing, Zeeshan alias Wafa died on the spot while others escaped. As per the initial investigation, the reason behind the murder has not been ascertained.

The body of the transgender has been shifted to Bacha Khan Medical Complex for medico-legal formalities, police said.
