Tragic Family Dispute Ends in Double Murder

Khanewal: A tragic family dispute led to the deaths of two younger brothers at Muhallah Sherazabad within the jurisdiction of Abdul Hakeem police station on Sunday.
According to police sources, Munir Ahmed, a resident of Muhallah Sherazabad, had repeatedly proposed a marriage alliance between his son and the daughters of his younger brothers, Qaisar Abbas and Nasir Abbas.
The proposals were repeatedly rejected by his brothers.
In a fit of anger, Munir Ahmed went to Qaisar Abbas’s house, where he shot him dead. He then proceeded to stab Nasir Abbas multiple times with a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in Nasir’s death as well. The accused managed to flee the scene.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the bodies have been sent to the hospital for autopsy.
Roof Collapse Injures Four Labourers
In a separate incident, four labourers were injured due to a roof collapse in Chak No. 408-GB, within the Tandlianwala police station area.
Rescue 1122 reported that an old and deteriorated roof caved in during repair work. The injured, identified as Aslam (60), Shahid (45), Iqbal (60), and Akram (35), received first aid from Rescue 1122 and were subsequently transported to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Tandlianwala for treatment.
