Traffic Advisory Issued for February 27 Match

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced traffic diversions on Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM due to the movement of a foreign cricket team and officials. The diversions will affect major roads, including Srinagar Highway, Club Road, Murree Road, Faizabad, Faisal Avenue, 9th Avenue, and the Expressway.

A public relations officer informed APP that traffic congestion and slow movement are expected, particularly on Srinagar Highway and the Expressway. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes and allocate an additional 20 minutes for their journeys to avoid delays.

Alternate Routes:

Vehicles traveling from the Expressway should use Khanna Pul and Park Road.

Islam Chowk and IJP Road will remain open.

Traffic from B-17 and B-15 heading towards Blue Area or F-6 should take Margalla Road.

Those commuting to Blue Area should opt for 9th Avenue and the H-8 underpass.

Traffic towards Red Zone should use Margalla Road, Express Chowk, Ayub Chowk, or NADRA Chowk.

Travelers from Red Zone to Faizabad should take Convention Center and Club Road.

ITP officers will be deployed at key points to assist commuters. Citizens can contact the ITP helpline at 1915 for guidance or check ITP’s social media platforms for real-time traffic updates.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on February 27 at 2 PM.
