Traders Demand Immediate Reopening of Raja Bazaar Roads

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Traders Action Committee has urged the immediate reopening of all roads leading to Raja Bazaar, citing severe disruptions to commercial activities in the city’s busiest market.
Addressing a press conference at the Rawalpindi Press Club, Liaquat Bagh, committee leaders including President Anjum Parvaiz Bhatti, Chaudhry Sohail, Malik Tahir, Malik Nisar, Haji Sadaqat, Asif Akram, Senior Vice President of the All Pakistan Traders Association Kamal Pasha, Sheikh Shabbir, Tariq Sunni, and Sheikh Afzal, expressed deep concern over the continued road closures.
The traders appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take immediate notice and resolve the issue. They said that roadblocks have severely affected the loading and transportation of new stock, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of shopkeepers.
While expressing support for the government’s anti-encroachment campaign, the traders also praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her efforts to restore order in the city.
“We have stood by the government’s initiatives, and the people of Rawalpindi have consistently supported the PML-N,” said the committee leaders. “Now it is time for the government to take swift action to protect our businesses and reopen access routes to Raja Bazaar.”
