Tourists Flock to Snow-Covered Kaghan Valley
News Desk
Karachi: The picturesque Kaghan Valley has once again turned into a winter wonderland following the recent snowfall, drawing a surge of tourists eager to witness its snow-clad peaks and serene beauty. Visitors from across the country are heading to the valley to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the refreshing chill of early winter.
However, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), Mansehra district administration, and local police have jointly issued precautionary advisories to ensure safe travel amid challenging road conditions.
According to a KDA spokesperson, roads in the valley become particularly slippery at night due to frost, especially in shaded areas and where water accumulates. Travelers have been urged to drive slowly, avoid unnecessary speeding, and exercise extreme caution to prevent skidding accidents.

The administration has also advised tourists to check weather updates before planning their trips and to use four-wheel drive vehicles for better traction on icy roads. Tourists are further recommended to carry warm clothing, blankets, appropriate footwear, and dry fruits to stay prepared for emergencies.
In case of any untoward incident, travelers can contact the emergency helpline 1422 or reach out to the district administration, local police, or KDA officials.
The KDA spokesperson added that teams have been deployed at key entry and exit points to guide and assist tourists, while snow-clearing machinery remains operational to maintain smooth traffic flow. “We are working round the clock to facilitate visitors during the winter season,” the spokesperson said.
The KDA has appealed to all visitors to prioritize safety, follow official guidelines, and cooperate with authorities to ensure a pleasant and secure travel experience while enjoying the valley’s enchanting winter charm.
