Islamabad: Pakistani TikTok sensation Samiya Hijab has found herself embroiled in a social media controversy following the circulation of a private video purportedly featuring her. The viral clip has ignited a fierce debate over issues of privacy, online safety, and the potential for character assassination against social media personalities.

The 23-year-old influencer, known for her dance routines and lifestyle content on TikTok, took to her own social media platforms to address the situation, categorically denying any involvement in the video. Samiya vehemently stated that the video circulating online was not authentic and had been manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

In a heartfelt message to her followers, Samiya claimed, “I completely deny this video and have nothing to do with it. My character is being deliberately targeted to damage my reputation on social media. This content has been made viral by my ex-boyfriend due to personal enmity and revenge.”

Samiya’s allegations have cast suspicion on her ex-boyfriend, whom she accuses of being behind the release of the video as an act of revenge. Despite her claims that the footage is a product of AI manipulation, the controversy surrounding the authenticity of the video remains unresolved.

The TikTok star has urged her fans to disregard the “false and baseless” video, emphasizing that it is part of a smear campaign aimed at ruining her public image. In a bid to clear her name and hold those responsible accountable, Samiya has vowed to pursue legal action. She plans to file an official complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing.

“I will take up the matter legally and will soon file a complaint with the FIA Cyber Crime Wing,” Samiya added, affirming her determination to combat the online attack and seek justice.

The incident has sparked widespread discussions about the vulnerabilities faced by online personalities and the potential misuse of technology to damage reputations.

As the situation unfolds, the question remains whether the video is indeed AI-generated or if further investigations will confirm its authenticity. Samiya’s commitment to clear her name through legal channels highlights the growing concerns around privacy and digital security in the age of social media.
