Thunderstorm, Rain Lash Lahore

Lahore: A severe thunderstorm accompanied by torrential rain lashed Lahore and its surrounding areas on Sunday, bringing much-needed relief from the intense heat and humidity.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, similar weather conditions are expected to persist over the next 24 hours.

While the downpour offered respite from sweltering temperatures, it also caused widespread disruption across the city. More than 200 electricity feeders tripped, resulting in prolonged power outages in several areas.

Heavy rainfall and strong winds were reported in various localities, including Shimla Pahari, Abbot Road, Davis Road, Mall Road, Shadman, Gulberg, Scheme Mor, Mughalpura, Dharmapura, Airport, Yatim Khana, Allama Iqbal Town, Wahdat Road, Mustafa Town, Kahna, Model Town, Johar Town, and Muslim Town.
