Thundershower Predicted in Karachi, Cloudy Bahawalpur

Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain-windstorm or thundershower in most parts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours.
The thundershower is forecast for Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Qamber Shahdadkot, Dadu, Ghotki, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Umarkot, Matiari, Naushahro Feroze, Jamshoro, Thatta, Badin, Padaidan, Sajawal, Karachi and Hyderabad.
However, heavy rainfalls may also occur in Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore and Khairpur during this period.
Focal Person Rain Emergency Shaheed Benazirabad and Provincial Minister of Health Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho has asked the people to get relief in stormy rainy systems.
Addressing the Rain Emergency meeting at Zardari House Nawab Shah on Sunday, she said that the people of mud houses should be shifted to safe places and proper steps should be taken for drainage.
She directed all the departments to set up emergency rooms in their offices and to keep the Deputy Commissioner’s office informed of the situation at all times.
Deputy Commissioner Shahryar Gul, District Chairman Ali Akbar Jamali, MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio, MPA Chaudhary Javed Arain, Mayor NawabShah Qazi Muhammad Rashid Bhatti, Vice Chancellor Dr People Medical and Health University Gulshan Memon, DHO Dr Asadullah Dahari, Chairman Syed Atif Zaidi, Abdul Nabi Jamali and officials of concerned departments attended the meeting.
Bahawalpur Weather Update
The local Met Office has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy weather with a chance of rain for Bahawalpur over the next 24 hours. The temperature in the last 24 hours ranged from a high of 30°C to a low of 25°C. Similar partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with potential rain are expected throughout the rest of the region.
