Thrills And Traditions Launch Thal Rally

Muzaffargarh: The 9th annual Thal Jeep Rally officially began at Changan Manga mound, Head Muhammad Wala, in Muzaffargarh, featuring a series of cultural events alongside the registration of racing drivers, medical fitness evaluations, and technical assessments of vehicles.

Over 100 vehicles have been registered for the rally, with some participants being women drivers.

All contestants are set to compete in the qualifying round on Nov 8. Following the fitness checks, many racers were seen practicing on the track to prepare for the 195-km race route, which stretches from Muzaffargarh to Layyah, passing through Kot Addu, and returning to the starting point.

Notably, Asif Ali, a British national of Pakistani origin, is among the competitors. Races in the stock category and women’s races will take place on Nov 9, while the prepaid vehicles race and a motorcycle race are scheduled for Nov 10, the final day. The prize-distribution ceremony will be held at Faisal Stadium in Muzaffargarh on the evening of Nov 10.
