Three killed, 16 injured as Vehicle Plunges into Ravine

Peshawar: At least three tourists were killed and 16 others suffered injuries in a fatal road accident in Swat area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

The fatal incident took place when a tourist-laden vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Peshmal Kalam area of Swat on Saturday morning.

After the incident, the Rescue 1122 medical team reached the scene and provided initial medical aid and transported the deceased and injured persons to Saidu Sharif Hospital. At least four of the injured persons were transferred to Saidu Sharif in critical condition. 

Expressing profound sorrow, Caretaker Chief Minister Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah lamented the loss of valuable human lives.

The chief minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences, expressing deep grief over the tragic loss of life and urging patience for the families of the deceased and the bereaved. He also extended his sincere sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims.

Directing the hospital authorities, the chief minister emphasised the provision of the best possible medical assistance to the injured, ensuring their well-being.
