Three Arrested for Alleged Woman Poisoning in Gujar Khan

Gujar Khan: Police in Gujar Khan have arrested three suspects accused of poisoning a woman to death after allegedly obtaining her jewellery through deception.
A Rawalpindi Police spokesman said City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani ordered the immediate arrest of the accused and requested a report from the Superintendent of Police Saddar.
According to the victim’s husband, the suspects had tricked his wife into handing over her jewellery, blackmailed her, and later poisoned her. All three suspects are now in custody, and investigations are ongoing under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigations.
Woman Found Dead in Kabirwala Orchard
The body of a 30-year-old woman, Rubina Bibi, was recovered from an orchard in the Hashmat Marali area of Kabirwala on Thursday, police said. The woman, mother of five, reportedly sustained severe head injuries, raising suspicions of murder.
Rubina’s husband, a truck driver, was away on duty at the time. Police from Saddar Kabirwala Station collected forensic evidence and shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for postmortem. Initial reports suggest she may have been struck with a blunt object, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed after autopsy. Investigations are ongoing.
Two Kidnapping Victims Rescued in Rahim Yar Khan
Punjab Police successfully rescued two abducted citizens in a targeted operation in the Katcha area of Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday. The victims, Nabeel and Hasnain, were kidnapped two days earlier from Ahmadpur Lamma.
Police also arrested the notorious kidnapper Ibrahim Machhi during the operation. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised the Rahim Yar Khan Police for the safe recovery and arrest of the criminal.
Two Killed, Six Injured in Karachi Accident
Two people were killed and six others injured when a passenger bus overturned near Baldia Town Hub Road in Karachi on Thursday.
Rescue teams reached the scene promptly and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital. Initial reports suggest the accident was caused by rash driving.
