Islamabad: A woman from the US state of North Carolina has grown the world’s longest potato plant, with a height of 11 feet and 3 inches.

This woman, named Cecilia Smith, who lives in the state’s McDowell County, has also registered her name in the Guinness Book of World Records for this feat.

It is said that this potato plant has been officially recognised as the tallest plant ever.

Cecilia Smith says that she planted this powerful and vigorous plant in February 2023, and she thought it would become the tallest plant in the world.

The record was previously held by a 9-foot, 4.1-inch plant in Great Britain.
