Terror Strikes Musakhel: Gunmen Kill 23 in Heinous Highway Ambush

Islamabad: At least 23 passengers were killed in the Rara Sham area of Musakhel district, Balochistan, on Monday.
According to SSP (Musakhel), Ayub Achakzai, the armed assailants intercepted trucks and passenger buses on the interprovincial highway, forcibly removed the passengers, and shot them dead.
The attackers also set fire to 10 vehicles before fleeing the scene. Police and Levies forces arrived promptly, and the bodies were being transported to the hospital.
Musakhel district, located on the northeastern border of Balochistan, shares its borders with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
The incident has drawn widespread condemnation.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, and others have expressed their deep sorrow and outrage over the attack. They offered prayers for the deceased and their families, and directed the local administration to provide full support to the victims’ families and immediate medical aid to the injured.
President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack, calling for swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The president stated, “The killing of innocent people is tantamount to killing the entire mankind.
The terrorists are enemies of the country, nation, and humanity,” reaffirming the nation’s commitment to fighting terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed law enforcement agencies to conduct an immediate investigation into the incident, vowing that the culprits would face exemplary punishment.
He emphasized that no form of terrorism would be tolerated in the country and that the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication.
