Teacher Killed, Two Siblings Die from Contaminated Yogurt Fritters

Peshawar/ Nowshera: In two separate tragic incidents, a schoolteacher was shot dead in Peshawar while a brother and sister died after consuming contaminated food in Nowshera Virkan.

In Peshawar, a schoolteacher, Parvez, was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in the Afghan Colony area, within the jurisdiction of Faqeerabad Police Station. Parvez, a resident of Wazir Colony, was a teacher by profession.

The police have launched an investigation, gathering evidence, including empty 30-bore pistol shells, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects.

Meanwhile, in Moza Chadiala, Nowshera Virkan, a sister and brother, Meerab (19) and Dawood Irshad (8), tragically died after consuming contaminated yogurt fritters. Six others fell critically ill due to the tainted food and were transferred to a nearby hospital. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
