Teacher Arrested for Beating 10-Year-Old Student in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh: A 10-year-old student was allegedly subjected to physical abuse by a teacher at a private school in Bet Mir Hazar, Tehsil Jatoi, prompting swift action from local authorities.

District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Hasnain Haider directed the police to investigate the incident, resulting in the arrest of the accused teacher, Irfan.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the student, identified as Khurram, was beaten by the teacher for failing to correctly answer a question in class. The victim’s father, Zulfiqar, reported the incident to Bet Mir Hazar Police Station, which registered a case under Section 355 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The police have taken the teacher into custody and are proceeding with further investigations. 

The incident has raised concerns over the treatment of students in educational institutions and the enforcement of child protection laws.
