Islamabad: Pakistani hip-hop sensation Talha Anjum is set to make his mark in the film industry with his debut movie ‘Kattar Karachi’, scheduled for release on December 20.

Renowned as the most-streamed artist in Pakistan on Spotify, Anjum has cemented his legacy in the hip-hop scene through his thoughtful and poetic style, steering clear of vulgar language in his tracks.

His 2012 formation of the iconic Young Stunners with Talha Younus challenged societal norms with hits like Burger Karachi, critiquing elitist mindsets.

Anjum’s solo work, particularly his album Open Letter, earned him accolades such as “Founder of Urdu Rap” and “Most Streamed Artist.” With over 20 million Spotify listeners and a vast social media following, he continues to inspire his fans, crediting his success to passion and dedication.

Directed by Abdul Wali Baloch, ‘Kattar Karachi’ draws inspiration from Anjum’s life experiences. He stars in the lead role, alongside Imran Ashraf as the antagonist and Kinza Hashmi as the heroine.

Anjum praised Ashraf’s acting prowess and expressed excitement about his on-screen chemistry with Hashmi, describing their scenes as spectacular.

The film promises a gripping narrative complemented by a soundtrack close to Anjum’s heart, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career.
