Sufyan Mehsud Honored for World Martial Arts Achievement

DI Khan: Commissioner DI Khan Division, Syed Abdul Jabbar Shah, honored seven-year-old Muhammad Sufyan Mehsud for setting a new world record in martial arts.

District Sports Officer South Waziristan Upper, Noorullah Wazir, revealed that Sufyan achieved this remarkable feat by hitting a target in just seven seconds on June 19, 2024, earning him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The previous record was held by an athlete from India.

In recognition of his achievement, Commissioner Syed Abdul Jabbar Shah presented Sufyan with sports equipment worth Rs150,000, along with a cash prize and a certificate of appreciation.

During the ceremony, the commissioner lauded Sufyan’s exceptional talent, stating that Pakistan is brimming with potential. He noted that despite limited resources, Pakistani athletes continue to excel on the global stage, bringing pride to the country.

The delegation accompanying Sufyan included District Sports Officer Noorullah Wazir and other officials.
