Strict Action Ordered Against Illegal Housing in Pindi

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued directives for strict legal action against illegal housing schemes. According to an RDA spokesperson, notices have been served to the owners of seven unauthorized housing schemes, following the instructions of Director General RDA, Kinza Murtaza.
The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of the RDA has identified the following schemes as illegal: Gilgit City in mouza Kohala, Mehmood Town (K & M Construction and Developers Pvt. Ltd.) in mouza Misriot, Hamdard City in mouza Dheri, Top View City in mouza Piswal, Wanni in Tehsil Taxila, Green Hurtus in mouza Chakri, and an illegal land subdivision near Gandhara City and Farm Land Estate in mouza Adyala near DHA, Tehsil and District Rawalpindi. These schemes have been involved in unauthorized marketing and booking of plots.
The DG has instructed the MP&TE Directorate to take decisive action against illegal advertisements and marketing, including the lodging of First Information Reports (FIRs) against the owners of these illegal housing schemes. The directorate has also advised the public to refrain from investing in these unauthorized projects.
Additionally, the spokesperson emphasized that the management of these illegal schemes cannot advertise, sell, or purchase plots without prior approval from the RDA. The MP&TE Directorate has ordered the immediate cessation of all development activities, advertisements, and transactions related to these schemes. Non-compliance will result in strict legal consequences.
