Seoul: With global anticipation mounting for the release of Squid Game Season 3, lead actor Lee Jung-jae has shared a candid confession about his nervousness ahead of the highly awaited premiere.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Lee admitted to feeling anxious about how fans will respond to the next installment of the critically acclaimed South Korean series.
“We are going to be releasing quite soon, I am very nervous,” he said. “I know that a lot of you out there are curious about what’s going to happen in Season Three, but all of us are more curious about how much you’re going to enjoy it. So I can’t wait, I’m very nervous.”
The Netflix series became a global phenomenon following its debut, praised for its gripping survival narrative and piercing social commentary. As the story continues, returning cast members are voicing their own hopes and concerns.
Lee Byung-hun, who plays the enigmatic game leader known as the Front Man, echoed similar feelings.
“I’m happy with how it ended,” he noted, “but I know that the fans out there, they each have what they want to see happen, so I really am curious about how they’re going to respond to it. And I’m very nervous to find out.”
Squid Game Season 3 is set to premiere on June 27, promising another suspense-filled chapter in the global hit that has captivated millions.
