Squash Glory: Pakistan’s Juniors Win Seven Medals

Islamabad: Pakistan’s young squash players delivered an impressive performance at the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2025, held in South Korea, bagging a total of seven medals across various categories.

According to a press release from the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), the country secured two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the main event, along with two additional gold medals in the plate category.

Main Event Medalists:

Gold:

Muhammad Sohail Adnan – Boys Under-13

Nauman Khan – Boys Under-15

Silver:

Ahmed Rayyan Khalil – Boys Under-15

Mahnoor Ali – Girls Under-13

Bronze:

Abdullah Nawaz – Boys Under-19

Plate Event Gold Medalists:

Yahya Khan – Boys Under-17

Muhammad Mustafa – Boys Under-13

In an all-Pakistan final in the Boys U-15 category, Nauman Khan triumphed over Ahmed Rayyan Khalil with a commanding 3-0 victory (12-10, 11-6, 11-2).

In the Boys U-13 final, Muhammad Sohail Adnan defeated India’s Ayaan Dhanuka 3-1 (11-5, 11-2, 11-13, 11-6) to clinch gold.

In a closely contested Girls U-13 final, Mahnoor Ali narrowly missed out on gold, losing 3-2 (9-11, 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10) to China’s Yin Z.

In the plate events, Yahya Khan beat Chanyoung K of South Korea 2-0 (11-9, 11-7) in the Boys U-17 category, while Muhammad Mustafa overcame Tse K C of Hong Kong 2-0 (11-3, 11-8) in Boys U-13.

The Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated all the medalists, stating that “Pakistan Squash is back on track. Winning gold medals at a major international event is a great achievement. We are proud of our young squash stars.”
