Islamabad: South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the third Super Eight fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
The contest marks the eighth T20 World Cup meeting between the two sides, with India holding a 5-2 advantage in their head-to-head record. Their most recent encounter in the tournament came in the final of the 2024 edition, where India edged past South Africa by seven runs to lift the title.
With a crucial Super Eight spot at stake, both teams fielded strong line-ups for the high-voltage clash.
