Sons ‘Kill’ Father in Land Dispute

Faisalabad: A man was shot dead by his sons over a land dispute in a village within Madina Town police precincts on Thursday.

Nawazish Ali, a resident of Chak No. 199-RB, Gatwala, was killed by his sons, Attique and his brother, following a heated argument about the division of inherited land.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dr Muhammad Abid Khan has called for a comprehensive report and directed City Police Officer (CPO) Kamran Adil to form a special team to apprehend the suspects. In response to the incident, a police team has been deployed to track down the accused, who have reportedly fled the area.

 

The police have taken the body to a mortuary for an autopsy and have commenced legal action. The case highlights ongoing issues related to land disputes in the region and has prompted local authorities to review security measures in similar cases.
