Social Media Reunites Loved One With Family After 53Yrs

Peshawar: A man who left for Iran in 1971 and hasn’t heard from his family since has recently been reunited with them in Usherai Darra of the Upper Dir district thanks to social media.

In an interview with local media, his family member Ehsan claimed that Mumtaz Khan, alias Multanay, had been gone for 53 years and that they had recently been contacted via social media.

Arrangements were made for his return to his native village. When Mumtaz Khan arrived at home, there was a jubilant feeling in the neighbourhood as many neighbours and relatives came out to greet him. Plans were made for his return to his home village.

Mumtaz Khan received flowers and congratulations from the people upon his return.

Multanay stated that he was at a loss for words after being reunited with his family and had forgotten the sketches of them, adding that everything in the village had changed.
