Islamabad: In the current election climate, social media has emerged as a key payer, facilitating politicians and political workers in the country to connect with voters effectively.
It serves as a platform that enables politicians to reach out and engage with the electorate seamlessly.
As the fast-approaching February 8 poll season unfolds in the country, a palpable political fervor is evident in every corner, including the twin cities. Nearly every constituency is adorned with vibrant party flags and posters, all in adherence to the prescribed code of conduct.
“The production and sale of election-related items have gained momentum, bringing satisfaction to wholesalers and vendors who are witnessing a surge in demand for party posters,” said Tauseef Ahmed, a poster designer from Rawalpindi Murree Road.
A politician commented on the election drive, stating, in Islamabad and other cities, corner meetings, political camps, and rallies have become routine occurrences.
Shamshad Bibi noted, these electioneering processes are widely embraced on social media, where enthusiastic youth and women actively campaign for their preferred candidates.
Highlighting the unique aspect of the upcoming election, Usman Ali stated, this election will stand out due to the increased participation of young and female voters.
