Snowfall Continues to Enchant Neelum Valley’s Visitors

Islamabad: The Neelum Valley’s tourist spots including Keran, Upper Neelum, Luat Bala, Sharda, and Udang Kiel have been experiencing continuous snowfall since last night.

Meanwhile, snowfall has been reported in the valleys of Taubat, Jagran, Shontar, Grace, and Sargan.

A new wave of westerly winds is expected to reach Balochistan tonight, bringing with it the possibility of rain, hailstorms, and more snowfall.

The upper regions, such as Ziarat, Kan Mehtarzai, and Toba Achakzai, are experiencing extremely cold temperatures due to freezing winds.

The Meteorological Department forecasts rain accompanied by strong winds, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, the Potohar region, and Islamabad today.

The closure of the Karakoram Highway at Tattapani due to landslides remains unresolved, leading to long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road.

The district administration has announced that efforts to clear the highway will commence today to assist the hundreds of stranded passengers.
