Islamabad: Neelum Valley in Azad Kashmir has transformed into a dreamlike winter destination as fresh snow blankets its hills, forests, lakes, and trails, attracting tourists from across the country to witness its serene beauty.

The valley’s snow-covered mountains and pristine landscapes are drawing visitors eager to experience its picturesque winter scenery. Families and travel groups are sharing memorable experiences, with many describing their visit as peaceful and unforgettable.

“Traveling here together has been wonderful; the serene valleys and gentle streams make it a memorable experience for all generations,” said an elderly family group visiting the area, highlighting the valley’s appeal as a destination that offers both adventure and relaxation.

Local authorities are stepping up efforts to maintain safety and preserve the natural beauty of the region amid the peak winter season.

“This winter snow has been a blessing for us as tourists are coming in great numbers, and our guesthouses and shops are livelier than ever,” said a local shopkeeper.

“We love seeing visitors enjoy the snow on trails and hills. Winter is hard, but this season brings life and smiles to our valley,” added a local resident.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has reported that the current snow spell in the valley is expected to continue over the next few days. “The snow will intensify in the coming days, which may cause road disruptions and travel difficulties,” a department official warned.
