Snow Cleared From Murree Road, Traffic Resumed
News Desk
Nathiagali: The road connecting Abbottabad to Murree is cleared by the Galyat Development Authority (GDA) and Civil and Works (C&W) department on Tuesday, allowing all types of vehicular traffic to resume.
GDA spokesperson apprised the media that tourists could go to Galyat without any delays as our teams have cleaned the route of snow. He also suggested that visitors stay away from traveling in the early morning and after sunset.
The GDA also warned tourists against taking selfies while driving and parking in the improper places. Tourists should contact the Control Room in case of an emergency so that they can receive support, aid, and guidance.
Galyat and Thandyani received more than two feet of snow during the seventh snowstorm of the current winter season, totally blocking all connected routes, including the main Murree road.
People in Galyat’s remote areas have reported that their link roads have not yet been cleared, leaving them stranded inside their homes.
They have requested that the district administration rapidly remove snow from all linked roads because if they don’t, there would be a greater shortage of firewood, medicines, and other essentials.
