Skardu Tourism Summit Concludes With Commitment To Revitalise Sector

Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) successfully concluded the 2nd Two-Day Tourism Summit which aimed to showcase Pakistan’s soft image and attract international tourists.
The event was held in Skardu from August 13 to 15, with a strong commitment to revitalising country’s tourism sector.
During the event, ICCI recognised the significant contributions of ambassadors and diplomats to promoting business relations and tourism between Pakistan and their respective countries.
ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stated that the recognition reflected their invaluable role in fostering tourism connections between Pakistan and their countries.
Zafar expressed optimism that these efforts would continue to enhance people-to-people contacts, promote cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen tourism cooperation.
Bakhtawari also called on the government to announce a civil award for the late mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara in recognition of his contributions to the promotion of adventure tourism and Pakistan’s global image.
