Six Dead, 18 Injured in Bus-Trailer Collision Near Kot Addu

Kot Addu: At least six people, including women and children, lost their lives while 18 others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident near Langar Sarai in Kot Addu on Friday.

The fatal crash occurred when a high-speed passenger bus collided with a trailer, resulting in extensive damage to the bus. Among the deceased were the bus driver, two women, and two children. All of them died on the spot.

Rescue teams confirmed that 18 passengers were injured in the incident. Ten of the critically injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for advanced medical care, while the remaining eight, along with the deceased, were taken to Muzaffargarh Hospital.

According to initial reports from rescue officials, the ill-fated bus was en route from Alipur to Lahore at the time of the collision. A large number of rescue and police personnel promptly responded to the emergency, conducting rescue and relief operations at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with overspeeding suspected as a key factor.
