Sindh To Receive Monsoon Rains From July 19: PMD

Karachi/Bahawalpur: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday forecasted more monsoon rains for the Sindh provincefrom July 19 to July 23. Meanwhile, the local Met Office predicted dry to partly cloudy weather for Bahawalpur over the next 24 hours.

Thundershowers are predicted from July 19 to July 21, with occasional gaps in Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad, said PMD. A thunderstorm with isolated heavy rain is forecast from July 19 (evening or night) to July 23 for Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu.

Thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are predicted from July 20 to July 22, with occasional gaps for Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Badin, and Thatta districts.

Meanwhile, the PMD has forecast hot and humid weather in most parts of Sindh province during the next 24 hours (July 18). While drizzle is expected in Karachi and its surrounding areas during the period. Mainly, hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in the province during the next 24 hours.

Dry to partly cloudy weather for city

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 39 °C and 32 °C, respectively, during the last 24 hours. Dry to partly cloudy weather has also been forecast for the rest of the region.
