Sindh Census 2023: Over 33M Speak Sindhi, 12M Urdu

Karachi: There are approximately 33,462,299 Sindhi speakers and 12,409,745 Urdu speakers in Sindh province, according to the 2023 census.
Additionally, the census data shows that people in Sindh speak over 16 different languages.

- Hindko: 830,581
- Brahui: 265,769
- Kashmiri: 53,249

Other languages speakers are approximately 11,516,650
Among the five divisions in Sindh, Karachi is noted for its linguistic diversity. In Karachi’s seven districts, the language statistics are as follows:
