Islamabad: Balkaur Singh and Charan Singh, parents of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, welcomed a son into their family.

Balkaur Singh, approximately 50 years old, announced the news on Facebook, expressing gratitude to Sidhu Moose Wala’s fans for their prayers.

He shared a picture of himself with the newborn, alongside one Sidhu Moose Wala, captioned “legends never die.”

Balkaur Singh confirmed the health of both mother and child and thanked well-wishers.

However, he did not disclose the name of the newborn.

This announcement follows Balkaur Singh’s previous denial of rumors about his wife’s pregnancy, emphasizing that the family would share any news directly with their supporters.

Shobhadeep Singh Sidhu, renowned globally as Sidhu Moose Wala, was born on June 11, 1993, in Mansa, Punjab, India, as the only son of his parents.

He gained worldwide acclaim for his Punjabi singing.

Tragically, on May 29, 2022, he was fatally shot by assailants in the Mansa district when he was just 28 years old.

His untimely demise left his family, friends, and fans in shock and grief.

Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, was overwhelmed with emotion upon the loss of his son, expressing, “What was the fault of my son? Today, I am ruined.”

Following the incident, India’s Punjab police took action, detaining eight individuals on charges related to the murder.

Among them, some were arrested on suspicion of espionage, providing logistical support, and harboring the singer’s attackers.

The police reported that four suspects directly involved in the crime had been identified.
