Shower Spell Likely Till Sunday In Lahore, More Rain In Sargodha

Lahore/Sargodha: The provincial capital received a drizzle on Friday afternoon, which turned the weather pleasant, subsiding humid conditions, while the Met office predicted more rain till Sunday. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (MD) forecasts more rain in Sargodha.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) spokesman, rain-wind and thundershowers (with few moderate to heavy falls) are expected in Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Manwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Bahawalnagar till Sunday, with occasional gaps.

Moderate to heavy falls may cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi. Farmers are advised to manage their crop activities accordingly.

Sargodha receives rain

Light-to-moderate rain with winds brought about a pleasant change in weather on Friday. MD stated that the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 33°C and 26°C over the last 24 hours. Agriculture experts said the rainy spell of the monsoon would be beneficial for crops.
