Sharjah: The Emirates Cricket Board has finalized preparations to host a series of international cricket matches featuring the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The matches will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
This tri-nation tournament serves as a key preparatory event ahead of the Asian Cup, which the UAE is set to host in September 2025. The competition will offer participating teams valuable match practice, allowing them to fine-tune their skills, strategies, and fitness levels ahead of the major continental event.
The 2025 Asian Cup is expected to draw massive audiences both at stadiums and via live sports broadcasts, fueled by the immense popularity of cricket across Asia. Among the most anticipated moments will be the traditional high-stakes clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
The UAE team, steadily improving in recent years, is eager to showcase its progress and compete strongly against some of the top teams in the region.
