Shadab Breaks Silence on Allegations by TikTok Star Shah Taj

Islamabad: Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has addressed the controversy surrounding allegations made by TikTok star Shah Taj Khan about their alleged relationship.
The drama began in September 2024 when Shah Taj claimed she had been in contact with Shadab via WhatsApp and Instagram for several months.
Shadab, who tied the knot with Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January 2023, recently appeared on a comedy show on a private TV channel, where the issue came under discussion.
During the programme, the host asked Shadab about claims by actresses that cricketers frequently message them, seeking clarification on whether such claims were factual or just baseless rumours.
In response, Shadab candidly remarked, “I think even if they do, what’s wrong with it? If you don’t like it, don’t answer, ignore it.” He added, “If she responds, it means she’s also interested in the conversation.”
The star all-rounder dismissed the allegations as exaggerated and speculated that such claims, especially those surfacing during major cricket tournaments, were often made for publicity.
“There’s nothing like what’s being claimed,” he asserted. “These things are often said just to gain fame.” Shadab also revealed that cricketers often joked among themselves about such rumours, asking each other, “Who sent that message?”
The controversy took a fresh twist when Shah Taj Khan appeared on the show “Game Show Aise Chale Ga,” hosted by Mathira. During the show, Shah Taj confessed to being a huge fan of Shadab and shared that she had traveled to Lahore to watch his matches.
She expressed her heartbreak upon learning of Shadab’s marriage and admitted to criticizing him in a private conversation with friends. The conversation was later leaked and went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from Shadab’s fans.
Shadab’s recent comments appear to have shed some light on the situation, dismissing the rumours and emphasizing the exaggeration surrounding such controversies.
