Severe Cold and Fog Affect Visibility in Lahore

Lahore: Lahore is currently experiencing severe cold, with thick fog affecting visibility across the city. The Meteorological Department has warned that the intensity of the cold is likely to increase due to the prevailing fog.

Cold winds are blowing at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour, and the humidity in the air has reached 96 percent. The Meteorological Department has not forecasted any rain in the city.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, with severe cold conditions likely in mountainous areas. Moderate to severe fog is expected in the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Islamabad, the weather will remain cold and dry, though fog is likely during night and morning hours. Punjab districts will generally experience cold and dry conditions, while Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas are expected to face severe cold.

Moderate to severe fog is forecasted in several districts, including Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Layyah, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addo, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Residents are advised to take precautions while traveling due to low visibility and cold conditions.
