Sehar Hayat Confirms Divorce from Sami Rasheed

Islamabad: Sehar Hayat, a well-known Pakistani digital creator with a massive fan following, tied the knot with musician Sami Rasheed in 2023 in a grand wedding ceremony that was attended by several social media celebrities.

The couple welcomed their first child in 2024. However, soon after, reports of differences between them began circulating online. While many initially dismissed their disputes as publicity stunts, things gradually turned serious as their conflicts played out publicly.

Recently, Sehar Hayat officially confirmed her divorce. Taking to Instagram, she announced her separation from Sami Rasheed.

During a Q&A session, when asked about her divorce, Sehar stated:

“We are no longer together, but he will always be Airah’s father—there isn’t even a 1% doubt about that. Daughters carry their father’s name, and I will raise my daughter to respect both her mother and her father, InshaAllah.

Regarding Airah meeting him, I have never stopped anyone, nor do I have the right to stop it. Decisions will be made according to the law, not my personal wishes. As for the rest, you all know the laws of Pakistan. I hope this matter won’t need to be discussed again.”

Following her announcement, social media users shared mixed reactions. Some commented that influencers’ wedding celebrations last longer than their marriages. Others criticized the couple for lacking maturity before entering such a serious commitment, saying children ultimately suffer the most. While many blamed Sehar for the separation, several expressed sorrow over the news of their divorce.
