Second Mpox Case Confirmed in Sindh

Hyderabad: Sindh on Thursday reported its second confirmed case of mpox, according to the provincial health department.

Officials said the patient, a 28-year-old man, is under treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad after developing symptoms on September 15. He has visible sores and rashes on his body, face, and throat.

The health department confirmed that the patient had recently returned from Dubai. His samples have been sent for further laboratory testing, while all close contacts are being kept under observation.

This marks the second mpox case reported in the province this year.
