SCO Summit: ICT Prepares with Security, Beautification

Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Monday confirmed that Islamabad is fully prepared to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, with significant improvements in security and beautification across the city.
In an exclusive interview with a private news channel, Randhawa highlighted that under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s instructions, the CDA, in collaboration with security departments including the Army, has implemented stringent security measures to ensure a safe environment for international guests attending the summit.

He expressed pride in Islamabad being selected as the host city, noting the city’s beautification efforts, including illuminated roads and bridges, which create a welcoming atmosphere.
Randhawa emphasized that these efforts reflect Islamabad’s commitment to hosting high-profile international events.
Randhawa also praised the Traffic Police for ensuring smooth traffic flow, the Army for their role in maintaining security, and the business community for their contributions to the city’s development.
He acknowledged the city’s infrastructure enhancements, including eco-friendly decorations, aimed at providing a visually pleasing and environmentally conscious experience for residents and visitors alike.
