Saudi Arabia Confirms No Radiation Detected

Riydh: Saudi Arabia’s Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC) confirmed on Sunday that no radioactive contamination has been detected in the kingdom or neighboring Gulf countries following US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a statement released via state media, the NRRC said: “No radioactive effects were detected on the environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or neighbouring Gulf countries after the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

The announcement comes amid regional anxiety over potential environmental fallout after US President Donald Trump revealed a coordinated military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Although Iran has stated that no radioactive materials were present at the time of the strikes, authorities across the Gulf had been monitoring for any transboundary effects.

Earlier warnings from regional experts had raised concerns about possible radiation risks for nearby countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The NRRC’s confirmation has helped to ease immediate fears of environmental or public health hazards in the region.
