Sarwat Gilani Urges Youth to Delay Marriage Decisions

News Desk

Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani actress and activist Sarwat Gilani shared her insights on marriage and personal growth during a recent appearance on the podcast show “Rukhsat.”

She advised young people to consider tying the knot in their 30s rather than in their 20s, emphasizing that individuals in their 20s are often still exploring their identities and finding their paths in life.

Gilani urged the younger generation to challenge societal norms that label individuals as “expired milk” after the age of 24.

Gilani also discussed the dynamics of arranged marriages compared to love marriages, noting that there are no guarantees in either scenario.

She explained that while arranged marriages can sometimes lead to successful partnerships, expectations can be built from scratch, which may lead to positive outcomes. In contrast, she pointed out that long-term love relationships can sometimes unravel unexpectedly.

The actress, who is happily married to Fahad Mirza and has three children, is known for addressing topics that are often considered taboo in Pakistani society.
