Sanitary worker dies while cleaning manhole in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A sanitary worker died and another fell unconscious while cleaning a manhole in Kohsar Phase I area of Latifabad late Friday night.
Police said Ashraf Maseeh died after entering the manhole, while his co-worker Rashid Maseeh lost consciousness. Local residents rushed to the scene, pulled both men out of the manhole, and shifted them to the government Shah Bhitai Hospital in Latifabad.

Doctors at the hospital pronounced Ashraf Maseeh dead, while Rashid Maseeh was provided medical treatment.
Residents of the area said the workers were not wearing any safety gear at the time of the incident. Police said further investigation is underway.
