Saim Ayub Overtakes Pandya as World No. 1

Dubai: Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has climbed to the top of the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings, overtaking India’s Hardik Pandya in the latest update released on Wednesday.

Ayub jumped four places to claim the No. 1 spot, displacing Pandya, who had long dominated the rankings. His consistent recent performances with both bat and ball have now made him the leading all-rounder in T20 internationals.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz also improved his standing, rising four places to 13th, while Faheem Ashraf gained four spots to reach 35th.

Abhishek Sharma sets batting record

In the batting charts, India’s Abhishek Sharma achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first player to cross 931 rating points in T20I batting. He now holds the No. 1 position.

Among Pakistan’s batters, Sahibzada Farhan surged 11 places to 13th, Fakhar Zaman climbed six spots to 60th, but Babar Azam slipped to 37th and Mohammad Rizwan fell to 41st.

Bowling: India lead, Pakistan make gains

India’s Varun Chakaravarthy retained his position as the top-ranked T20 bowler. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed dropped three places to 7th, while Shaheen Shah Afridi made a strong comeback, climbing 12 positions to 13th.

The latest update highlights shifting fortunes for both Pakistan and India, with Ayub and Sharma emerging as standout performers on the global stage.
